Following a less-than-stellar reception of their womenswear collection, Dolce & Gabbana returns to form with their latest menswear runway show, proving once again that their strength lies in dressing male models and A-list celebrities who could pass for male models.

That said, much like their attempt at a Madonna tribute, which felt more like an unintentional homage to Jean Paul Gaultier, this Paparazzi-themed collection initially gave off strong Dsquared2 vibes—almost as if it had been pulled straight from their archives.

But I’ll admit, it grew on me. Most of the looks are wearable, impeccably styled, and seemingly well-made—a redeeming quality that keeps this collection from falling flat.

I was also surprised (albeit reluctantly appreciative) of the use of synthetic fur, a rather progressive choice coming from Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce—but I digress...

Statement coats took center stage, ranging from classic overcoats to bold faux furs and aviator jackets that exuded effortless cool.

When it comes to menswear styling, Dolce & Gabbana consistently deliver, and this season was no exception. The duo successfully elevated individual garments, creating cohesive, eye-catching runway looks that felt intentional rather than excessive.

Another unexpected element? The sheer number of bags featured in the collection—mini duffles, tote bags, and even men’s clutches made their way down the runway, proving that accessories are becoming an increasingly important part of the brand’s menswear lineup.

As for suiting, there was a mix of double-breasted jackets, wide-leg trousers, slim-cut ensembles, and Dolce & Gabbana’s signature tuxedo elements—a little something for every type of high-profile client.

Now, let’s be real—am I a Domenico and Stefano fan? No. Did I enjoy this collection? Sure. Will I be rushing to shop at Dolce & Gabbana this year? Highly unlikely.

But that’s fine because they’re not designing for you or me. They’re designing for Timothée Chalamet or whatever Kardashian/Jenner boyfriend is currently in rotation...
